"Needful things”….. for Dealers

We recognise that an antiques and/or collectors fair cannot be successful in the long term without its dealers being happy with what is on offer and being provided by the fair organiser.

Here are some of the reasons why we think our Fairs are different...

Venues

Currently our fairs will be on Sundays, we are not trying to compete with the large fairs at Ardingly or Detling so we will avoid dates that clash with those venues.

We will also try to time our fairs when there is a minimum of other fairs available on the same date in the South East. We use www.antiques-atlas.com for planning and all our fairs will appear on that site once venue and date is confirmed.

We believe that the venue is key to a fairs success therefore we will ideally be booking venues that can accommodate 50-75 dealers we believe this makes the fair attractive to customers and collectors as it allows a variety of different traders with varied stock.

We will try to ensure all venues have free and ample parking.

We will target venues that also have a high level of existing visitors and footfall to give our dealers the best chance of meeting their sales targets. Our first fair is at The Warren www.mpthewarren.com in the Coney suite

We will always choose venues that allow as easy access as possible for our dealers and where the venue allows it, we will offer set up on the Saturday afternoon.

We will find and only book new venues that are in high density population areas with targeted demographics to try to ensure you get visitors who can afford to actually buy from you .. rather than just come to look!

Stock

To attract the right buyers’ Needful things fairs will focus on offering antiques and collectables to our visitors rather than what has become known as vintage.

We hope that means those dealers who predominantly sell general antiques and those who are specialist dealers will find a home at Needful Things.

We will limit the number of specialist dealers selling the same stock for example if you exclusively only sell one type of antique/collectible, instances may include, Clarice Cliff, Coins, Stamps, Whitefriars glass, Moorcroft, etc we will typically limit to a maximum of three dealers in any one category, on the basis of the quality of their stock and on a first come first served basis.

To ensure we offer our visitors the very best experience we may ask for images of your stock before confirming your booking. Should you wish to book a stand at one of our fairs please e-mail info@needful-things.co.uk
